Kia Ora and Welcome,
We’re Michele and Steve Laing, and it’s our pleasure to host you in Ōamaru.
Through Aqua on Reed and Quarterdeck, we’ve created two thoughtfully designed holiday homes that blend comfort, character, and relaxed coastal living. Since beginning our hosting journey in 2016, our passion for renovating, interior design, and memorable guest experiences has shaped every space we create.
Having enjoyed many self-contained stays ourselves, we understand the value of feeling instantly at ease when travelling - whether you’re escaping for a quiet retreat, reconnecting with loved ones, or exploring somewhere new together.
Both of our homes have been lovingly curated to feel calm, welcoming, and effortless to stay in, with well-equipped spaces, comfortable bedrooms, and thoughtful touches throughout. While our homes are fully self-catering, we’re always close by if needed and are happy to share local recommendations to help you experience Ōamaru like a local.
